Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes Cheats

These cheats are for the PS2 and do not require an Action Replay

Marvel vs. Capcom 2: Multiple Character Selection

Unlock every costume and character to chose multiple people.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2: Less Expensive Extra Fighters

Boring but it works …Exit and re-enter the shop —  repeat the exit / re-enter sequence  until the price of the extra fighters drops … excellent way to save money

Marvel vs. Capcom 2: Change the Time on the Clock

On the clock level you can change the time by changing the console’s system time.

or

Go to the DC options menu (press X + Y + A + B + Start or turn on your DC without a game in the tray) and change the clock time.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  Lots of Points with NO effort

This is a sneaky way to earn points … Get mega points f - in practice mode, chose a character. Leave the character in practice mode (without pausing)  leave the console on and go outside and play. When you come back … depending on how long you were gone, you could earn up to 9,999 points. (Do not pause the game)

Marvel vs. Capcom 2: Save Points when buying Mega Man

Enter the shop and Mega Man costs 2,000 points.  Exit and re-enter the shop —  repeat the exit / re-enter sequence until Mega Man costs just 500 points.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  Infinite Juggernaut Power-Up

With Juggernaut, perform his “Power-Up” move by pressing FORWARD, DOWN, DOWN-FORWARD + two punches. Then, IMMEDIATELY, tag Juggernaut out. For the rest of the fight, Juggernaut will be powered up.  Infinite Power-Up can be turned off by performing the Power-Up move again.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  Eliminate Super Armor

Choose Iceman or Magneto.  Against the two Super Armor fiends - Colossus and Mecha Zangeif do  a Fierce Grab so they get engulfed and trapped in Ice/Metal and then perform a Snapback move. Colossus will be knocked out of the screen and returned with his Super Armor gone. Mecha Zangeif will remain invisible unless he performs a Special move.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  Change your Team’s Order In mid play

On the versus screen, hold the “L Trigger” to pick character 2 to switch places with character 1 (so that it goes from 1 - 2 - 3 to 2 - 3 - 1) or hold the “R Trigger” to pick character 3 to switch places with character 1 (so that it goes from 1 -2 - 3 to 3 - 1 - 2).

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  Continue Attacking

Push Start immediately after winning the match to move almost everywhere and have the ability to continue hitting the defeated character

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  114-hit combo

Select Gambit, Iron Man, and War Machine, then get a level 3 hyper combo gauge and do all their hyper combos (L1R1). It should do a 114-hit combo. If not, try starting the Hyper Combo with another person.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  One Hit Kill

Choose Juggernaut, Iron Man, and BB Hood (in that order). Put them all on their recommended assist types. Get 3 Hyper Combo bars and link them all together (L=R). It should kill the opponent in one hit. This move was tested on Cable, a medium damage taker

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  Freeze Your Opponent

Choose San San and any other character. When your opponent’s life is lower than yours,  have San San do her Eating Super when it hits have the other character their Super and the opponent is frozen. You can move about freely but your opponent cannot. Unfortunately you can only see the top of the screen.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  Easy Special

When your special meter is at 3 or higher, push L1R1 to do any character’s special.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  Unlimited Chain Supers

Only works in training mode. (sorry)  Set the combo gauge to infinity on the training menu. Start a Super and start another one. This can be done an unlimited amount of times. Works best with characters who have Beam Supers.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  Hayato - Combos

Thirteen-Hit Plasma -Sword Combo: Get your hyper gauge to level one. Jump in deep, push LP, while still in the air push LK,LP,LKHPDownDown/RightHPDownDown/Right [LP, HP] for seven hits.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  Marrow - Break the camera

Have Marrow use the Bone Burst Hyper Combo as the finishing move for the last of the three opponents. She will throw one of her bones at the screen, breaking the camera.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  San San - One hit kill on Spider-Man

Use San San’s Eating Special with damage on high. Spider-Man can be defeated with one hit

Marvel vs. Capcom 2:  Blow up Tyrant

Send out the Tyrant. After he is done with his combo and starts yelling, push the combo for her rocket launcher and he will explode.
