I have a Pokemon with a little smiley face at the bottom of his summary. What does that mean?
A smiley face means that the Pokemon at one point had Pokerus.
Pokerus usually lasts +/- 2 days (as indicated by a unique purple status symbol) before the Pokemon recovers and becomes immune to it. When a Pokemon does become immune, a smiley face replaces the Pokerus status and while it can’t infect other Pokemon, it does still receive an EV bonus.

Hmmm… I always wonder, is Pokerus bad?? I mean, it makes pokemon shiny which is awesome, it makes them recieve EXP. boosts, and makes their EV higher, plus it makes them learn some moves that un- infected pokemon can only learn by using a TM or HM, for example my Lv. 53 Golbat went up to Lv. 54, evolved to Crobat and instantly learned Steel Wing without a TM. Does a pokemon having pokerus have any disadvantages?? Please anyone tell me. Thanks.

I know that this is totally out of the subject,but i was just watching the japanese trailor for the heart gold and soul silver pokemon games.( i didnt understand a word it said) But, i did notice some great stuff about the game.
1. The games are remakes of the Gold/Silver Gameboy Color games.
2. The new games have a seriously improved soundtrack, including orchestrated music, techno, and Final Fantasy Style music in the legendary pokemon battles.
3. there is a totally new feature in which you can walk around the game with a pokemon following your character.( for example if the pkmn in your first slot is a pikachu, a pikachu sprite will always be behind your character. kind of nostalgic when you think of pokemon yellow version)
4. The characters remain the same as in the original games, but ofcourse more modernised.
5. There are many new events in the game where you can catch the legendaries from Johto, kanto, Hoeen, and Sinnoh.( i havent confirmed which special events you can catch legendaries but i know that Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina are needed to activate an Arceus Event)
6. I believe it is possible to trade from the pokemon platinum, pearl, and diamond games, also i think you can migrate pokemon from the gameboy advance games.

Update on the HeartGold/SoulSilver:
I came to a surprise when i finished downloading the game…. It’s not fully translated, only Items, pokemon and other not so important stuff are translated…. i dont understand anything, i ended up choosing i was a boy named “&V… so i deleted the game and am now waiting for a fully translated copy…. unfortunately Nintendo is making it impossible for people to get the copy so it will take some time
i might have to wait until Spring 2010 (SIGH)

Hate to say this but while yes this version does at least appear to have the main things in english quite a lot of the People are still speaking Japanese as well as the hone and descriptors of what is happening in certain places that said it is the most complete version I have found out there so far however if this is indeed the best there is I will have to wait for march and the english release it was march right I cant really remember

Well, yeah i found out of that, unfortunately… most things are translated until you get out of Violet City….. and the game still freezes unfortunatelly… the info on the download site was wrong, and it’s not my version so please dont get mad at me…. i just didnt want to wait until April 2010, or after, for the real game….

darn! youre so lucky! lol ive wanted that pokerus thing for days now xD but im really not sure what it is or how to go about getting it.. my pokemon had that face in pearl and i never knew what it meant
